Its tensile strength is about 550MPa and hardness is about 150~160HB in the solution state. 304 cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, but can only be strengthened by cold working. However, after cold working, the strength increases. Its plasticity, toughness and corrosion resistance will be greatly reduced.

I don't know what purpose to use, there are many materials that reach 60HRC, but the characteristics of the materials are quite different, and they must be selected according to the purpose.

304 stainless steel is a versatile stainless steel material, and its anti-rust performance is stronger than that of 200 series stainless steel materials. High temperature resistance is also relatively good, the general use temperature limit is less than 650 ℃. 304 stainless steel has excellent stainless corrosion resistance and good intergranular corrosion resistance. For the oxidizing acid, it is found in the experiment: 304 stainless steel has strong corrosion resistance in nitric acid with a concentration ≤65% below the boiling temperature. It also has good corrosion resistance to alkaline solutions and most organic and inorganic acids.
